why talk about salary gaps when we should be really talking about removing salaries altogether and going full entrepreneurial?

the first thing humanity needs to do to fix its real problem — AGI — is to give up on the salary/employee mentality, and really start attaching direct incentives with performance — direct accountability.

humans can suffer from mad brain myopia if you feed tube them ideologies for long enough. “entrepreneurship’s not for everyone” -> bullshit. all humans can learn and adapt with sufficient education.

I have similar contrarian takes on the environment and race — topics that I value, but I certainly think are not a priority compared to top-level problems, that if fixed, the other dominoes will also fall.

it’s like my last post about launching rockets vs AGI. Not only AGI’s a low-hanging financial fruit. it’s way less hard than rocket science. But it’s ROI means that an AGI would make launching rockets drastically easier.

Humans have a though time prioritizing, not because they don’t usually prioritize, but because they do not know. they have mass blind spot. They’re so focused on that thing / the emotions that come with it that they forget about other things that exist around them.

This is the same reason why I’m a strong believer in being a generalist rather than a specialist. Be a specialist building tables and you’ll build better tables your whole life. While an AGI will discover the nature of life, connect us with alien civs and has us live happy forever.

specialization creates asocial hermits. generalists actually specialize quicker through global insights. build a theory of everything, not a theory of one thing.
