Microenormous Oaxaca Experience
So we stop by this place, walking the Oaxaca streets, the other day. It’s an immersive theater place. It seems very interesting. It mixes technology and humans, and you get to experience the whole thing with all your 5 senses, to say the least.
But it’s 10:40pm and we’re tired, so we decide not to go and just take the pamphlet.
It’s expensive, to Mexican standards. It’s like $60 per ticket. But they’d do us a 2 for the price of 1. So we decide to go the next Friday.
First, the branding’s on point, to say the least. From the pamphlets, to the place’s exterior (neons with pitch black paint), to the naming. I often criticize SAAS for their shity names. Coder’s can’t name shit. But these guys, man, these guys! MicroEnormous. Great name. How could I know? I remembered their name after the 2nd time. Greatness is when you remember the brand’s name for the first time.
Then, the experience. Wow. So it’s like 8 rooms. All with different themes.
The first room is a neon green jaguar + a guy playing tam tam. They gave us this geometric patterns glass and when you see through it, you get mush-like hallucinations. It’s fantastic, Oh, and they gave us mescal.
The second room is the candle room, 2nd actor. A lady. The tour’s in English and Spanish. It’s great. They have us pick a candle from 1 specific sign/symbol. We choose it, and light it from a huge, badass kindle with more signs.
